When you find yourself appreciating something – at any time, or even multiple times, in a week – I hope you will try to capture it in a note, photograph or any form that strikes your fancy, and send it to us. If you get it to us each Thursday at 5pm it will be included in the next day’s post. (See left side bar for the link to send your submissions.) See this week’s entries below.
If you missed getting in your submission earlier in the week, but would like to chime in now, please leave a comment below! I can’t wait to hear what you are appreciating!

This week I’m appreciating that Griffin started kindergarten! We live 2 blocks from the school and it’s a special treat to walk there with him. The other kids shriek with delight when they see their new friend and his dog approach, and I think Spencer will happily occupy the role of school mascot.

I’m appreciative right now of having a child who can do a cartwheel on the beach. First, it makes me realize how fortunate I am to have happy, healthy children growing up in the shadow of the ocean. Second, it makes me seem a little bit cooler than I am.

I am so much appreciating the rain! My garden was very dry and some of the flowers were languishing, but now they are celebrating. . .

I’m appreciating that there are places in this country where you can go and be totally cut off from phone and internet (forced disconnect). I’m appreciating The Grant Tetons magesty, Yellowstone National Park (our first!) and the amazing spirit of the buffalo who have totally won my heart. And I’m appreciating Red Lodge Montana – what a GREAT little town! i’m also appreciating being home with my pugs and my treed yard. And a hubby who put together this amazing celebration of 25 years together!
